Health Equity Collaborative Team
The COPE Health Equity Collaborative is a community-academic partnership with Dr. Jacinda Abdul-Mutakabbir (Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy- University of California San Diego) alongside COPE member, Mrs. Laniea King (Program Manager of Health Services), focused on the promotion of equitable health within racially/ethnically minoritized communities. The collaborative utilizes innovative, community-engaged research and practices to address healthcare access limitations within the Inland Empire. More than 3,000 racially/ethnically minoritized individuals have received services the collaborative provides in concert with community faith leaders. The services provided include health education seminars and vaccinations for preventable respiratory diseases (enter rest of services). The successes of our unique partnership continue to serve as a model for health equity promotion within underserved communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
